When I take a break from work or just want to relax and mess around on the internet on my primary monitor, I like having a second monitor to watch downloaded movies or stream Netflix, HBO, etc. I'm not editing video or gaming at all, but I do like having some extra power and speed. When I'm at work, I often need to open an app to watch and manage security cameras, have a ton of tabs open on Firefox for research, multitask using other apps, and sometimes run Windows 10 on Parallels. The plan is to buy a 2018 Mac Mini that's almost maxed out (i7, 512GB SSD, and add 16 or 32GB RAM myself), use my Thunderbolt display as a primary monitor for day-to-day work, and purchase a 32 inch 4k monitor for primarily watching TV / Movies. So here's what I what I want to do: I'm trying to create a nice little setup at work (where I spend about half my day). I feel like I should preface this by saying I feel like I know reasonable amount when it comes Macs and other consumer tech, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty I'm not very enlightened compared to most of you.
